Fermin Lopez and Spain are battling it out in the Euros, with their recent win coming against current European Champions Italy. It is no secret the Lionel Messi is the ultimate inspiration for millions of youngsters in the sport and Lopez is no different.
In a recent interview that has since been making rounds on the internet, the 17-year-old La Masia product let his admiration for the Argentine great known–and he did so three times.

When asked to name the best player in the world, Lopez did not hesitate to name the current Ballon d'Or holder as the best. The Spaniard said, “For me, Messi."

However, it did not end just there. The interviewer asked him again, pointing out that Messi plays in the MLS. Despite this, Lopez reaffirmed his belief that Messi is still the best player in the world.

When asked for Lopez's second choice down the pecking order, the Barca golden boy emphatically repeated "Messi," indicating his strong conviction that Messi stands out far above anyone else.
